    Sheesh, if I had any idea this was going to turn into some kind of conspiracy theory, I wouldn't have even shared it.

    My only connection with USCC is that I'm waiting to become a customer. I am a former Alltel customer who got sucked into Verizon. If/when I have to make a change from my Alltel plan, my monthly fee will jump $40 just for the privilege of it saying "Verizon" on it. Because of that, I started looking at USCC. Now, I'm waiting for the newest round of phones to try out USCC.

    If you don't believe me, or if you think there is more going on, that is fine. You can try to create whatever kind of theory you want, but believing anything other than what I stated makes you wrong.

    I got a PM asking if this was a corporate store or an agent store. I believe it was an agent store.

    I walked into the store and asked about the TP2 and the Crush. She told me about the sale.

    Maybe the agent was right. Maybe the agent was wrong. Maybe she didn't understand the promo and was 1/2 right. I don't know, I just shared what she told me.

    My plan is to wait until the TP2 comes out. When it does, I will go back into the store and talk to her again to see if she still has the same understanding of this sale. If she does, I will wait until Friday. I don't believe that if the small percentage of USCC customers who read this forum put off purchasing for three weeks its going to have a major impact on USCC's bottom line for the year (or even month for that matter).

    At this point, no, I'm not going to say where this was, only because its getting blown way out of line. If she shouldn't have said anything, I don't want to get her, or the store she works at in trouble.

    Again, what she told me could be incorrect. I stated that in the original post.

    If you want a new phone, go buy a new phone.

    If you want to wait to see what the sale is, then wait.

    I was just saying it would be a brilliant idea to pretend you are just a customer and post stuff " you were told" at a random store.

    No way of really knowing what is or isnt true on any internet site. Tommorrow someone could post " 4 day sale get a free set of tires with every phone" No way of knowing until that day.

    Even if someone posted a picture of the sale sign that could be fake too. Really no way of knowing at all what is true even pictures and links can be faked.

    I say no more rumors!

    Yes, except that BigE confirmed it. From past posts I believe he has some contacts, so that should tell you it's good. Not to mention that when you read through the postings there are others that are confirming it by posting other information/details. That tells me this is not a rumor. And, like I posted earlier, I like getting some of the inside information posted here once in awhile. If you don't want rumors, ignore the thread. I am personally glad for whatever people want to share, and I then decide for myself what to take with a grain of salt and what to take for fact.

    Anything you hear on any forum is for the most part rumor... I prefer to hear the rumor, then I can determine if I want to believe it or not. If people didn't post any such rumor, we wouldn't have a clue what is coming until it got here.... Several on here including BigE seem to be pretty accurate in their information... If you don't want rumors, why are you looking at this thread in the first place, just set back and see what is on the showroom floor when you go in?

    I just re-read the original post, and I find there are a couple errors/inconsistencies in it:

    1. "We are running a four day sale beginning the day after Thanksgiving through the following Sunday" - How can it be a "4" day sale? Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is "3" days.

    2. "We will even be open all day Sunday which we are normally closed." - All of the US Cellular stores in my area are open on Sundays, they aren't normally closed.

    But, just in case it is true, I stopped by my local corporate kiosk today. I bought the Tour on 10/27 and my 30 days for price matching is up on Thanksgiving day. So I asked and they agreed, that if there is a special price on Black Friday, I can get the discount.

    I just checked the stores in various locations around Wisconsin and it's a complete mixed bag of both agent and corporate stores regarding store hours on Sunday, some are open, some closed.

    Yeah, because you could go in today to get a Tour, or in a few days for the TP2, and go back to get the price match, so there's no reason to hold off at this point.

    This is why we can't have nice things. Since this info was released some things will be changed. Not to be "that guy" but certian things have been pushed back since our employees can't keep things confidential.

    You think it's bad with US Cellular? You should read some BGR sometime. I've personally seen just one screenshot that was "internal-only" posted online (I reserve the right to be incorrect lol). That's not bad at all IMO.

    USCC seems to use a marketing scheme that doesn't make much sense. Because a few customers learn about an upcoming promotion too soon, they delay it? That is sure to keep existing customers and attract new ones (not really). Where it comes to EVDO expansion, maybe if USCC keeps the roll-out schedule hush-hush the customers will forget that they don't have it (not so much). There is a real genious at work at USCC. Keep up the good work.

    Ha! Okay, because it makes sense for me to post something like that here otherwise? Think outside the box, maybe, just maybe USCC isn't as dumb as you think. But hey why don't we try the 'wait and see' approach.

    This thread has been viewed almost 5,000 times.

    I'd bet that 50 of those views are my own refreshing it when a new post is added.

    It makes me wonder how many different people are actually effected by this chatter . . . I'd expect in reality, only a few hundred different people are actually following the thread and only a smaller percentage of those are actually altering their buying decisions based on the info.

    Insignificant numbers when look at the customer base the size of USCC's.

    Sure, why not? It's worked before. In fact, it's what this whole thread is based on, we are waiting to see if there will be a huge promotion on Black Friday. More importantly, if there will be free smartphones.
