Have Page Plus put the Droid's MEID in their system. Once completed hit activation at start up on the Droid and it will complete activation. If that fails then do the manual *228 and hit 1 to program.

Could you clarify? how come the data meter did not move and a dollar was gone? And navigation is supposed to load maps from time to time during a long distance drive. Is there way to estimate the data volume for a long drive (e.g. mb per hour)? Thx!

The loss of a dollar was due to mix of calls and web surfing. I retested just to make sure and I can confidently say that I standing corrected on my last statement of no data consumption. In fact, a small of data is used.

For example, I drove home for a distance of 8 miles and 89 cents was missing from my account. Since Page Plus charges $1.20 per MB I bascially used close to 1MB. Not bad really but nothingless data usage is incurred during navigation. Hope this clarifies matters.

Quick question, which I think i know the answer to... What's the best bet on purchasing a droid and activating on PP. I'm pretty sure most of the droid's on ebay are from users who are signing a new contract or renewing, swapping ESN's and selling the Phones.

From everything I'm reading, the phone must have not been activated on VZW within last 6 mos. So the question is, does this apply to the droid also, and is it best to just purchase outright from Amazon or Wal-Mart ?

Probably best to buy outright from Walmart or Amazon.

I like the idea of price matching at Best Buy. I'd get $20 back in RewardZone bucks by purchasing two of these things at $500 a piece.

It's good that navigation is not data intensive. But it is also possible that the 8 miles that you drove were on the same map segment. Maybe loading a new map would use more data. But your experience is good enough for me to get a droid on P+. Thank you so much!

And you'd also pay 5-9.75% tax for each one Which comes out to $25-50

I'm gonna order from amazon.com, with free shipping. Cheaper for me with no tax and free 2 day or I'll dish out $4 for next day air.

Thats great that the droid data works without any modifcations on PP. BTW isnt PP suppose to offer unlimited data soon? If so Im tempting to buy 2 droids retail and switch.
