My bf and I bought got the iPhone 3GS when Telus opened yesterday. We have unlimited texts and so on. I've tried to send him a bunch of mms but he never gets them, same when he sends them to me. However, I send MMS to my best friend on Bell with a regular samsung phone and she gets it, and my neighbour on iPhone 3G on Rogers and he does too. Sending back to us we both don't receive them. Does anyone know if there's some sort of issue? Weird that I can send to other carriers but not receive or send to Telus HSPA. Sent to my friend on Telus blackberry CDMA he got it with the standard link to go to the web.
I have issues with MMS and my iPhone as well. If I send one to my wife, who has a Blackberry with Virgin, she gets 2-4 jumbled texts from a 416 phone number (we live in Calgary so that's even weirder). I also have sent to a friend in Ontario who uses Koodo and gets blank messages. I have sent one successfully, however, to a friend on Bell.
I called DNA and they have it as a known issue. They logged a ticket for me and attached it their issue.
Having a Telus Blackberry for so long, I was irritated with the lack of MMS. It's nice to have that option now, as lots of friends of mine have regular cell phones so I can't e-mail them any pics to their phone, or receive from them.
I called them today too, another poster on here said just to call they can fix it. The support guy tried a bunch of stuff but it never worked. My friends on Rogers and Bell get my pictures fine, I just can't receive. He also logged a ticket for me as well.
Had the same problem; sent an MMS to my friend on Fido and worked but it wouldn't work the other way. Assuming it's an HSPA problem but if it isn't fixed in a few days I'll probably call them.
If you were on CDMA before and then went to HSPA.. call tech support and ask them to "Purge your Mag" it will fix your problem.. but make sure you are talking to HSPA Tech Support

Google Nexus 1 (on the IR list with a busted screen)
iPhine until Nexus is back in fighting form
Carrier
TELUS HSPA
Also if your coming from a CDMA PDA/Blackberry. Make sure you go to the www.telusmobility.com/snap website and turn off any forwarding that may have been in place!
I can see that causing a few headaches.

I'll try that, although I receive so few MMSes that it can wait until TELUS isn't being swamped with calls.
So just realized this AM that since I caleld Sunday night about the MMS issue, I can't receive ANY text messages now. I called back in the guy put me on hold forever said I have a new error message no one has seen, so now I have a 2nd ticket open which takes 3 business days. So now I can only send and not receive anything.
There have been delays all day in recving my wife on fido sent me a msg and there was a 30 min delay..... the L2 Ticket will take a lot longer then 3 business days.. your issue should be resolved before the ticket is even looked at... just make sure your they "purge your mag"...

If they ask why make sure to tell them you need to "hack the gibson"

hahah telus has a bunch of dumb nerds obviously who cant even figure out their own network...cause i have an iphone and it has the same mms issues, and they tried to fix..and now my txts wont receive either...cause I do know for a fact, that everyone i know with a hspa phone that has issues moved from CDMA, yet those who got new phones on new plans work fine..
im into day 3 and waitind for my support ticket issue...
I don't mind, I'm a big Telus fanboy and it is a new network, can't expect everything to me perfect. In fact I've had very few issues, went to telus 10 am on November 5th bought 2 iPHones both activated immediately, was out at 10:40 with new phones just not ablet o receive mms. Aside from the 2nd phone dying 2 days later and never turning on again (Apple's issue not Telus, Telus gave me a new one) everythings been fine. I admit, not getting texts is a bit annoying, I'm getting people non stop "didn't you get my text???" but I'm patient it's all good!
