I just woke up to about 30 new texts including all the ones Telus had sent me as a test, so my texting seems to be fixed. Tried a MMS, no go. However I had two texts saying "Hi this is Telus, we've assigned ticket # xxxxxxx to you etc etc" but the guy said I'd get one when it's been fixed and closed, so I don't think they've fixed it yet. I don't know about purge the mag, I hadn't seen that when I called in. If it doesn't work in a few days I'll call but I'm sure it will if others have their mms working.

My iPhone can send mms to Facebook and via email, these work fine. When I send mms to a telus CDMA line it comes through blank. You can open up the message and even the picture viewer but its just black.

Sending mms from the CDMA phone to my iphone is the same. I can see the Re: blah blah but there's no pic/video. Both phones on the same account, upgraded to iphone from a krzr..

sucks for everyone whose on telus/att
seems like these 2 companies couldn't launch the iphone 3gs successfully with the whole 3.0 os being launched.

both companies failed when it comes to mms and tethering

one thing rogers did properly was mms and tethering right away, even though there were a few delays in mms, it still worked!!

    mms fixed on my phone

i phoned telus, and talked to a tech and asked her about "purging the mag"...and needless to say.. my iphone wouldnt allow tethering..it would say "to enable tethering on this account contact telus", and i couldnt receive mms messages. however my friends iphone that was activated new on a new number...not transferred from cdma did everything without a hitch. She enabled my tethering, and then said she was going to "purge or reset the mag 6 adapter", and after doing that, she made me reset my network settings on the phone, and thus far i can receive picture messages, and even received a recorded voice message from a friends cdma phone, as well as a video clip. so far so good, everything seems to be working..oh and another bonus.... my iphones battery life was crap, and all of a sudden after the weekend, its kicking ***. i would charge my phone and unplug it before i went to bed and it would be 15 percent down on battery life when i woke up. Now, my iphone has 1 day and 8 hours of standby and 1 hour of call use since my last charge, and ive still got 77 percent battery...I think bellus is finally getting the kinks out of the network.

I'm on day 9 since opening my ticket still no mms. My friend called the day he got his and they fixed it right then on the phone. So much for 2-3 days for a ticket, I'm assuming they closed mine and just think that it was fixed. Calling back today.

They gave you a new one? They must know you're a fan. Apple doesn't allow DOA's to be done. If you buy an iPhone and it doesn't work when you leave the store you're SOL and must contact apple for a replacement.

update: he thought i was crazy and didnt understand, and i told him what others did to fix it and that other people had the same problems, and he kept telling me it must be a problem with other peoples phones. it was frustrating and eventually he gave up.

Yay it works! I was about to call tonight since today is like day 10 but on my way home from work I got a test picture from Telus so now it's working. 10 days but at least they didn't forget about me.

And yeah I got lucky, twice as up until a week ago the stores would swap them out like any other phone. That just changed and now you do have to go to Apple, make a genius bar appointment, wait, AND best part, get a refurbished phone even if yours is only a day old.

Im running an unlcoked jailbroken 32gb Rogers iPhone and tried mms for the first time last night. My gf is on Fido and she was able to send me one which I recieved however I was unable to send andy out from my phone. Could this be a network issue or is it more likely a phone setup issue? Thanks for any input you folks can give me.

Yes I entered all the APN info and basically filled out the cell network page on my phone according to the info I found on another post here. Strange thing is I recieved one fine but it doesnt want to send. She sent it from a BB pearl on Fido but my device doesnt seem to want to send it at all.
