I've had my Droid on for 3 solid days, and just tested it after seeing the new posts.
It too is now getting green corners on most all pics, and you can tell the focus is working (by zooming-in on something after the picture is taken).
I'm going to contact my source and see if there was a update "pushed", but all the software build info still lists the same on the phone.
Fixed here as well but macro mode still giving me red corners most of the time. Clicking is still there both on startup and when focusing but this never really bothered me before. Aside from that this is awesome. Green corners all around
True story. All fixed. Scan lines are still apparent when dark Fau...but on video only, not on camera shots. Green corners every shot. I was getting a pretty good ratio before (guesstimate about 80%) now it's every shot.
Sounds like one of the major issues with this phone has been sorted. Bravo Google for sneaking this one in....now we can move on to the other nitpicking issues
It is just me, or isn't it a tad scary that google swooped down in the middle of the night and changed the software on your phone, without your knowledge or consent?
Can't this be used for, well, undesirable actions?
I've never used the camera on any phone so I don't know, buy last night my Droid shut off and booted itself. I take it that was the update. Either that or they have another problem.
Shouldn't there be a sign of an update in the phone settings, or do they keep these things quiet.
Simply put, this is awesome! Verizon, Motorola, and Google should be commended on how quickly they responded to customer complaints and fixed the issue. This is in huge contrast to the half ***** way RIM dealt with all the Storm problems. One more reason why I'm glad I ditched my Storm!
Mine is being weird a little even after the 'update'. I get consistent green corners, but 10% or so of the time, it still does not focus properly (tested this with a sticky note pad I have in front of me). If I left off and push the shutter in to focus again, it usually gets focused properly. If that's normal, I don't mind. Just a little weird it would green corners and still go out of focus instead of red cornering if it couldn't focus properly.
