and my toy is bigger than yours =))
No really, my phone is big
Personally, I don't like the BBs virgin has. I wanna try the Storm 2 if we'll ever have it, see if there's any improvement in terms of interface, how to optical tracker works etc.
And you know what's the irony about the iPhone? It's considered such a high-end phone, when in fact the best things it does are casual, such as texting, playing games, music and casual surfing. Now all of these were selling points a while back, but a lot of other phones facilitated texting, gaming, etc. IMO the only selling points of the iPhone remains the easiness in surfing... and I guess the cool factor (which is a social construction, so not a tangible feature, but I guess worth mentioning), the cool factor which I think will disappear once (almost) every phone company will sell it.
my 0.02$
Prepaid is to contract like a mistress is to a wife. No wonder so many people don't want contracts
and what the logo gives you more to be more COOL than evryone . It's just an apple. If I take a bite in a apple and take it in pic to put on my mainscreen on my BB does I'll be cooler?
Well, no you would be like one of those people who replaces the emblem on their Volkswagen with one from a Mercedes-Benz. It wouldn't look cool. Look, the point I'm trying to make here is that I want an iPhone, even if it's expensive and actually does less than some other LG/RIM/HTC/whatever phone. If this concept is confusing to any of you, save your argument and go spend half your day pricematching at futureshop to save $5 off a microwave oven as you usually do.
Of course, I'm in a contract with VM until July, so I don't want to switch to the other carriers that have the iPhone already.
I've already been waiting far too long for the iPhone, and i'd prefer to just buy one now instead of waiting until at least February.
That being said. Do ya'll think the Vmobile contract is worth the wait? I mean, do you think the four months of waiting will be worth it? I'm tempted to just jump onto a bell contract right now to get the phone. but i don't want to regret it if vmc has a great contract in feb. Do you think they'll be on par with the other carriers? or better, worse?

Opinions? Thanks.
Virgin will definitely have better plans that Bell for the iPhone. Probably the same plans as Fido since they seem to compete. And you were actually waiting for the iPhone on Virgin? You should of known it wouldn't come until after Bell/Telus went live with their HSPA network and got the iPhone. I definitely think it's worth waiting.
I can't believe people actually want what everyone else has, any originality here or ambitions? There are just so many excellent phones other than Iphone: Droid, E71, wait for Nokia to release capacitive touchscreen device, it will be available by February. Apple has nothing new since the very first iphone which came out 3 years ago, paying 600$ for a 3 years old device makes no sense. But whatever, more people having iphone = less people having cool phones, which will make owners of droid and other phone look unique.
@KRZR101:
I wasn't specifically waiting for it to be on Virgin. Just anything but rogers. heh. but if virgin has a good deal i may wait. after all, i've been waiting this long.
@Hestati:
I don't think it has anything to do with what everybody else has. I hate this whole "I don't want it because other people have it" attitude. Why live a life of spite? Millions of other people will have the same phone as you no matter what you pick. It has no bearing on your "Originality". Picking one phone just to spite another is stupid. Pick the phone on the merits of each, not just because fewer people have it because you somehow think that makes you special.
People want it because it's a good phone. and it has a large support network. By that, i mean lots of companies make products for it, apps to go on it, games, etc. It has the largest software library of any current smartphone. and i believe it will continue to do so for a long time. That's why people want an iPhone.

I actually don't really like the iPhone. I'm a blackberry guy but if I have to get a blackberry on a contract, I wouldn't get the pearl or 8300 series curve. If Virgin released one of the new blackberries, I probably would get it with them.
Hahaha all this hype over a Virgin iPhone. I used two iPhones for two years, switched back to Blackberry and couldn't be happier.
The iPhone is great for wasting time, browsing, games, etc. But for email and communication (you know, communication, what a phone is all about) nothing beats a Berry, or dozens of other phones.
If I want video games, I'll buy a PSP.
Cheers.

All my posts are my own opinion only and not necessarily that of any of my employers, past or present.
Now Apple fans are saying that being different means nothing? I guess the whole charm of apple products was "no one else has it" kind of thing. It is all about the marketing, since iphone owners still think they are "special ones" even though every second person has the iphone. And blackberry at least has few models, not just one for past 3 years. I could not understand people who pay 900$ (3gs 32gig), when you can actually pay 250 for a 2g in excellent condition with 16 gb. Ok lets say 350 for 3g, since you want to use it on new network. I cannot imagine that slightly better camera can cost that much, and I cant think of anyone who really needs 32gb. And BTW, I understand that most of the people here will jailbreak the iphone, but considering the cost of non jailb Iphone with even the minimum of apps installed, its like what 1500$.
I admit, it is a very good phone, but 1500$ for it, gimme a break...
? - was this supposed to happen last year too? - was looking around for $$ info and found this old article. Anyways, if it's gonna be a min of $70 a month on a 2 yr contract, count me out - I've waited this long, I'll just wait another couple of years, lol..
