So today I opened up a brand new OEM Apple USB brick charger and brand new cable. I was at a friends house and my phone died completely. Inserted the cable into the phone and I could hear the phone to begin to click. The screen showed the charge logo and cycled on and off a few times, after which is charger started smoking. I unplugged everything and felt that the brick was super hot, so I threw it away. I used his charger that he was just using so I know it works and nothing... my phone won't turn on, won't do anything. It has a very very faint smokey smell by the port so I am assuming the charger spiked the phone thus enabling "brick" mode I am hoping that apple can swap this out (at the Apple Store) since this phone is only 3 weeks old (had to have it swapped since my last one had inconsistent signal problems)
