My I580 woke up this AM with a Insert SIM message, I have taken out the card cleaned etc...no help
try resetting the phone to default. Also have you tried taking the battery out and putting it back in?
you may have dropped your phone and created some kind of lose connection... try puting a piece of paper behind your sim to push it harder against it's contacts....
