Same for me. Even after a reset, I can't get into any of these menus.Originally Posted by Ziclipse

Yes, a way to circumvent the java lockout is currently the holy grail item on this phone.Originally Posted by wilday1980
I personally just want access to the IM menu... Not sure if they will even work once unlocked, but that's all I want. =/
if enough of us would start calling ST and start complaining we could possibly make a difference.![]()
I just ordered one of these phones via Malwart.com (local stores are all out). Does the browsing experience change depending on your location or who's network your using? I'm in Charleston SC and it will be on the Verizon network.
S.Talk uses verison towers, great coverage.Originally Posted by John-Charleston

Here is a link to a free ringtone maker and it works great, just click on the link read and follow all directions. http://computermaint.webs.com/apps/b...-and-lg-vx5400![]()
Please forgive me if I was not suppose to post this link but the software is free.

I may not have been clear...I understand that the coverage is great with ST/Verizon, it's the actual browsing experience I'm wondering about. Is there greater web access from location to location or provider to provider? For instance is java available with some providers but not others? Can I access Google maps with some and not others?Originally Posted by rssevyn
Just trying to understand what the browsing experience will be like.
Thanks,
john
Well, Im not sure what phone you have, I have the r451c and @ this time it does not support java however from doing some seaching on the net my understanding is that S.Talk just does not have java activated on r451c because net10 sells the same phone and they do support java, as for your browsing question my guess is that the web access will not change you will just have to play with the phone and search for any questions you may have for it because there are many being asked about these phones. I dont know much about the phone myself but I hope this help some.Originally Posted by John-Charleston
The browsing is not that bad but I use my PC most of the time.
I should have mentioned that it will tell you to download (lame for audacity) also but you only have to download audacity 1.3.11 (lame for audacity) will be with it in the file.Originally Posted by rssevyn
One more thing, the r451c has a volume issue where the ringtones are not very loud but you can raise the volume with this ringtone maker, very nice, I really like it.![]()
Thanks. It's the r451c that I'm asking about. I just ordered one. I'll research it more when I get the phone, I guess.Originally Posted by rssevyn
