I think that icon is supposed to resemble a cassette tape. I think it might indicate that you have voice mail waiting.

    Thanks,
Thats strange, I haven't given the number to anyone. I only bought the phone to put on my account so I could take one off to sell. I guess Trac sends VMs to tell you to set voice mail up or perhaps a welcome message.
With 17 minutes left (burned 3 registering it on Google Voice). I'll either use up the minutes or let it expire and recycle it.

Thanks for the quick reply Sweep and anne

You have Voicemail. Call your number from a landline. Reject the call on your cell phone. As soon as you hear the recorded voice very quickly press * and the voice will ask you to enter your access code (the one you used in setting up VM so they know it is you checking VM or changing its settings).

Probably someone trying to reach the person who had the phone number before you. Net10 e-mails activation and airtime addition Info to me. Check the day/time the voice mail was left (before you delete the message) and check incoming calls for that date and time. The message itself will tell you a lot.

Out of boredom I activated VM. It was 4 messages from bill collectors for "Aaron". I'm glad I'm not keeping this number.

While we're searching for symbols, anyone know what the 3 pages stacked next to your signal strength meter means? I think it was posted here once, but cant find it.
