You were able to get the PPP setting changes to stick?

Did you use the software download module to backup a .qcn of the NVM and manually edit the file and restore it? That is one method I think may work with QPST.
I haven't tried it but it has worked on previous Moto smartphones.

I thinks enough discussion on this thread and this forum about how to connect the phone to the computer.

I think its time we focus on actually re-programming the phone, data settings, making phone work on other carriers, etc.

Because theres much more we can do, plus I got it working on WestNet evdo which uses simple IP auth to login, the Mobile IP auth seems not to be working yet.

Also, in this process one of the phones ESN went all to zeros. Luckily when did a reset the ESN was retored.

We need a Hex Viewer/Editor app for Android. Some of the files are in plain text readable by humans but others are in machine text readable by droids

its open source we should be able to do anything.

Its like the e815, it didnt allow vzw3g to be changed. until we flashed to until or alteast did a hex edit

Quite a bit of Android isn't open source (market, google maps, various drivers, etc). That doesn't matter though, because the radio has little to do with android anyway. The radio is definitely not open source.

First I would like to thank the super smart people to come up with such a technique... I have used up a whole weeked trying to figue this out though... no program would allow me to access that folder I tried too much and I have no other option but to give up... I leave this screenshot
