    New phone - Verizon CDM7076

Verizon Prepay has a new phone. The CDM 7076. You can buy it for $40 from the VZ site...

Or find a Big Lots and get it for $15 (thanks to Captbob544 for the tip)

Our feedback about Verizon Wireless agents as Verizon Wireless Prepay customers is: they are pointless to us.

I see where it says it won't work unless activated at the register. So they activate it on VZW's network at checkout? Or am I missing something?

That's only because they need to scan the barcode to enable the phone to be activated, that's all it is. The one I bought has all the barcodes, except for the general UPC code covered up.

Okay. Thanks, Sweeper. Will you let us know about any worthwhile particulars concerning about this mobile?

It's a bare bones phone with a monchrome outer display and VGA camera. Nothing really too exciting about it except for the $15 price tag (you also get $10 if you activate it on VZ Prepay, making it, in essence, a $5 phone).

    interesting...

I saw a CDM7075 at a Rite Aid on Friday. It was 49.99! Wonder what the difference is? Maybe a color variation. I am glad that it is a UT Starcom. I always liked the Arc on VM. Maybe this is a newer version of the Arc?
