Will The $5.99 T-Zones Plan Work With The Sidekick?

    Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing for full retail price either the sidekick 2008 or 2009 version. I currently have the $5.99 T-Zones plan and would like to know if this t-zones data plan will work with this phone. Thanks.

Yes, on a Sidekick the 5.99 plan WILL NOT WORK. Period. It actually never has. I have had the 5.99 plan on one of my lines for years and have tried numerous times as I hate paying full price for generally slow/crappy service.

Now on the flip side, if you had the old SK plan then yes it will work on other phones. I know this because I used to use an iPhone on the SK 19.99 plan. While the service was spotty (more so than usual).

Recently the T-Mob has been patching the workarounds on their data plans but the older SK plans still work sometimes with other phones if you set the APN right. Just don't depend on it since it seems to be pretty random when it will drop out.
