    Local number portability

I'm moving from Telus prepaid to Fido prepaid. On Monday night, I activated my Fido account and requested that my current Telus phone number be ported over to my new Fido prepaid account. On Fido's website it says that it usually takes 2.5 business hours. It's been almost 48 hours now. I called Fido yesterday and they said it all depends on Telus and that it could take up to 5 business days. I called Fido again today and the person said that it could take up to 2 weeks...although I'm not sure he knew what he was talking about. Anyway, does it normally take this long to port a number? It's so inconvenient because I have to carry both my cell phones with me at all times now.

Landlines can take 5 business days due to municipality registration stuff (911).
Cell phones can take an hour to 2 days.

They should know by now if it was rejected or not.
