Angry When is Cingular getting the Samsung s300

I'm soo mad! Cingular has no clamshell phone other than the MOTO t720, which I don't want!!! When will there be a GSM version of the s300 out w/ Cingular? (there is only so much I stand until my MOTO c331g "accidentally" gets crushed by a hammer ) Any release info is helpful!!
Phones I've had so far: Nokia 252c, Nokia 5165i, Nokia 3360, Motorola V120t, Motorola c331g

Well, they won't be getting the S300, they have the S307 right now though. It is the 1900/850 band version of the same phone. Go pick it up...and instead of the hammer just give the phone away!

I wish getting it was that simple...but my southern Cingular wireless is too prehistoric to get any phone that cool... we still are carrying the Nokia 3360 as a RECENT phone model... if that says anything. Also...what is the difference between the s300 and s307? (Samsung is a totally new phone area for me...so I have no idea)

Silver5 has already given a very apt comparision, the S307 is a version of the S300 specialised for use in North America only.

Can we say "duh"? I did not even pay attention to that message...sorry ppl... I hope my Cingular gets it though... all I hear from ppl who have this phone is all of the pleasure they get from the complex ringtone sounds and features this phone has. If I decided to buy this phone online with compatible GSM band format, would my provider be able to allow this to run on their network...even if they don't sell the phone?( I think yes...but seeing that I never had to go thru the process I could be very wrong).

Perhaps you should go to another store that has more updated phones for you. If not try searching eBay.

Say goodbye to IE and security hazards!....well except for one

    Might be hope

I don't know where in Tennessee you are but at least here in Murfreesboro that phone will be released within the next couple of weeks. They already have the S307 demo phones at the stores, but don't have stock in yet. I wasn't able to get an official release date out of them but the guy said that typically after they get the demo phones, the real ones show up around 2 weeks after that. So just keep checking back, they should be around very soon.

Wonder if they have it in D.C. I will be there in a week, might just have to upgrade while there if they have it I wish their site reflected what phones you could actually get in an area

I would think so...major business cities like that usually get the newest first. My uncle ended up getting a Motorola t720 about a month earlier b4 Cingular introduced them into their phone line ( I wonder if his working at the Pentagon did this though ) Either way...they should be there.

It appeared in today's Best Buy ad in Ohio for $129 after rebates for new subscribers, I doubt the actual stores have them though.
