If this was a test/beta phone, you'd think that Sprint/Nextel would want this phone back rather than let the person who found it keep it. Not only that but this phone could possibly get bricked at a certain point, leaving the buyer with an expensive paperweight.
pointless phone. who still uses iden for data lol. i have been carry a sidekick/iphone for years to use data, and just use iden for voice and some texting. its like the iden BB, i do not get why people buy that phone.
true. pretty much everyone i know has left iden, except for about 5 people i know. for work however, we all still are using PTT only, and i cant see us switching to something else.
Wow - if those pics from the auction on eBay are authentic, I'd say it's a pretty good bet this thing is coming to Sprint Nextel. There's a "NEXTEL |" splash screen and everything.
FWIW I was able to get the SN from the seller but Sprint has no record of it.
damn. not to say that it still couldn't be used, but sprint not even having a record of it, way too risky. that means no data. at all. calls and text. which would be pretty pointless, IMO.
having an android device with no data is like having a webcam, but not using it for it's intended sex-chat purposes. (bad comparison, i know.)

Wow - thanks for the link, V710man. That YouTube video pretty much lays any doubts to rest as far as its authenticity goes. Awesome to see the Nextel splash screen. Also great to see Direct Connect working on an Android phone. You can hear the iDEN network connection interference throughout the video, so it's a pretty safe bet this thing's authentic.
