I just got my droid and the screen seems to have a little "give" when you press down near the keyboard on the left side, kind of like it is a bit loose. Is this normal or is it just the spacing?
yeah my old droid had that too. But verizon would not let me return it bc they said it was normal. Just complain enough to get a new one they obviously are not meant to be loose.
My wifes phone does not have the give but it looks like the screen actually touches the keyboard. My phone has just a tiny gap and if I press hard enough, it will touch the keyboard. It is not "shakey" loose. I'll have to take a photo and post it
its and mfg defect ( ie reject unit) that should have made it threw. When the screen is closed it should be rock solid and not move at all when you press on it. As mentioned just gripe enough and they should replace it for you
A few Droid's have this, though I doubt it will really affect the unit long term. If it does... Well, that's why you have a warranty.
true true, but IMO it is really annoying to have the screen move when you press on it. If I wanted that I would have gotten a Storm that was designed that way. IMO I'd return it for replacement for the principle of it because it is not right.
