Do a search there are a quite a few 3G routers out there. I had one my self in 2007.

Which plan here would be considered a middle of the road plan people are looking for? I'm not trying to be a smart ***, just trying to gauge what people are looking for.
I don't know if its new, but I see
"Promo: Unlimited (6pm)7"
Previously, you had to pay extra.
Carriers still take the piss - charging $7 for caller ID. It should be either free or a few dollars.
CRTC - protecting Canadians from competition.
Nokia business philosophy - "Half a job done, is a job well done". No Pride.

I don't notice a difference?
Also I'd consider virgin's/fido's/koodo's $25 plan middle of the road for me.
Since Wind will now be going forward with launch, it seems like an appropriate time for passing on some of the details that people have been most the most anxious to find out: Pricing!
As I've shared previously, there are three plans that Wind will have available. These are, with pricing included:
Chat: $15 per month
Unlimited WIND to WIND calling (Canada wide)
Unlimited incoming text
100 province-wide voice minutes
50 text messages
Always Talk: $35 per month
Unlimited WIND to WIND calling (Canada wide)
Unlimited province-wide calling
Unlimited incoming text
50 outgoing text messages
Always Shout: $45 per month
Unlimited Canada-wide calling
Unlimited incoming /outgoing text messages
Voicemail
Data Plans Infinite Mobile: $35 per month (used with any voice plan)
Unlimited internet for phones (tethering too)
Infinite Laptop: $45 per month
Unlimited internet for USB data sticks
Possibly there will be a web on your phone only type data plan for $10/mn.
BlackBerry data plans Social BlackBerry: $10 per month
Unlimited instant messaging, Facebook and MySpace.
Infinite BlackBerry: $35 per month (used with any voice plan)
Unlimited internet for BlackBerry
Addons:
Voice: 10c Per Minute with the $15 plan
SMS: 10c each
MMS: 20c each
Voicemail: $5
Long Distance:
$20 for unlimited North America
I don't have a lot of other details on long distance, there is going to be a number of different plans.
Feel free to ask any questions. I expect that stores will be open and selling phones in approximately a week, a final date hasn't been fixed yet. Yay Wind!
With the social blackberry.. is it Just BBM and EMAIL? for $10 bucks?
IS there any SAF/911/Gove Fee?
Is the $35/month plan FREE Incoming/Outgoing nation wide like City Fido (but on a larger scale)
Thanks

Smart business by Wind Mobile! By offering a basic $15 plan, and then a amazing $35 plan, the sales reps in store can easily show the customers the great value of the higher priced plans. I'm confident more than 90% of customers are going to pick the Always Talk or Always Shout Plans! Good way to keep the ARPU up.
When was the last time any of the big 3 offered for $35, Unlimited Airtime in your province, in-network calling, no SAF, no activation fee, and some outgoing text messages????
I'm very pleased with Wind Mobile if this in fact their pricing model. Very clear, easy to understand, and will be a big hit with consumers who are tired of complex rate plans the other 3 have offered for a long time.
What feature are you going to pick: 5 numbers? Unlimited Incoming? Early Evenings? 1000/Unlimited Texting? Oh wait, thats the other 3. With Wind Mobile you don't have to worry about it with the $35 or $45 plan

1) Social BB is just IM (MSN, Y!M, GTalk I think), Facebook, and MySpace -- it's what Telus current offers to students. There's NO data, meaning no BBM or email or internet browsing. Frankly, I think it's a stupid ploy by carriers, you could do it all on WAP. No data on a smartphone is oxymoronic, but I digress.
2) As stated, NO stupid fees like that. Prices are as-is before tax.
3) It's only FREE nation-wide if you're talking with another WIND user. Calling your mom in BC who uses Rogers will be long distance. However, if you lived in BC as well, then you have free province-wide calling no matter what!

If its IM then it would be BBM as well. And technically it is data, its not using magic to connect

The $30 and $35 plans have 150/200 minutes, 1000 txts and UE&W at 6.
If WIND could offer something like that for 25 it would be attractive to a lot of people. The laxk of txts on anything but the $45 plan is a turn off.
