    unlimited ev&w starting at 7pm
    unlimited incoming/outgoing texts
    conference calling and call waiting
    no saf

The only thing that I enjoy is that caller id is included.. but $5 for vm? No thanks, I'd rather pay $7/month to get ci AND vm.

Not impressed at all with the pricing, just hoping that the plans the op didn't mention are better.

Caller id & Voice Mail with Fido is not $7 it is $10. so its $25 + $10 = $35 or with wind for $10 more you can get unlimited calling nationwide and unlimited Text messaging and Caller it & voice mail is INCD free of charge.

Can everyone on here stop responding to post where people are claiming their retention plan is better. They just don't get it. They are comparing something that in most cases they had to beg or threaten to leave in order to get it versus something avaiable to everyone. Just don't repond to those post they are comparing apples to watermelon not even oranges

The plans really is not good for me. I currently pay $47 for unlimited browser, unlimited sms and 200 day time, cd, vm, unlimited after hours and weekends after 6pm, free call to 1 number and i go to north toronto that is covered and no long distance to toronto from Newmarket/bradford.

With Wind, all calls to Toronto from Newmarket/Bradford is on roaming...which means if I get a always shout plus data plus VM, thats $85 plus hugh roaming bills on rogers.
To get two lines means I am going to end up paying double what I am paying now which would put me in the stupid category to swtich to Wind.

Therefore, it is a no go for me. I will have to put up the two TP2 and 1 G2 for sale once the official price plan comes out.

Thats a no go for me and
Wind at your service! I dont work for Wind either!

I read a lot of the responses on this forum at work today and didn't get a chance to reply until now.

    News flash, guys.

They can't cater their plans perfectly to every single PERSON

WIND is just like every other company. They will offer services and products and regularly refine them as they go. They may find in a month that their predictions were wrong and the $15 plan isn't competitive enough, or that no one wants to pay $35 for wireless internet.

They, just like Telus, Rogers and Bell, will refine their plans, service and operations regularly to conform to who their customer is and what they want.

The difference between WIND and other service providers is that they have no boundaries. They must compete or they will be a failure. They must offer something better, which by the looks of it, they are.

I am very excited about this company. Not because they seem perfect or because it will save me a lot of money (I make good money to pay my current bill), but because they aren't taking for granted their market position. They know their role in the current market. Rogers, Telus and Bell love being on top, but they've taken that position for granted and refused for over a year to alter their business practices. Robelus has known since the end of the spectrum auction in Q1 2008 that new competitors were coming and they sat on their hands and tried to stall the process instead of improving their business and becoming competitive. Their actions to stall the regulatory process and dragging their feet on roaming agreements just make this new revelation so much better.

So really, I'm rooting for the underdog. Because that's what everyone loves to do.

Except that their network is not up everywhere. You will be roaming if you travel out of the city and that will cost you 25 cents a minute

For people complaining about nothing middle of the road. Telus, Rogers and Bell are offering plans starting at $30, with $3 extra for Rogers. CID in the $8-$15 range depending on which carrier you go with. That means for a basic plan with the features everyone goes for, you pay $40+, and are getting something between Chat and Always Talk. So for more, you get less.

Yeah, it'd be nice to get something in between, but there isn't anything available that's really better. Stuff that costs $25 from other carriers is only about as good as the $15 plan.
Please don't PM me asking questions that could very easily be asked publicly.

Band I/1 = IMT, 2100 (rarely wrongly referred to as 1900/2100)
Band II/2 = PCS, 1900 (never wrongly referred to as 1800/1900)
Band III/3 = DCS, 1800 (never wrongly referred to as 1700/1800)
Band IV/4 = AWS, 1700 (often wrongly referred to as 1700/2100)
    Band V/5 = CLR, 850
    Band VIII/8 = GSM, 900

    The Rogers Lumia 710 only has 1, 2, 4, 5

    No iPhone, apparently

Plans aren't bad.. but not good enough to make me switch right away..
Devil is in the details.. network coverage, real-life data connection speed, etc.

This does blow City Fido out of the water, though, I think..

What this DOES give everyone.. LEVERAGE. I plan to wield it like an axe should Rogers do anything (AGAIN) that pisses me off.. (like charging for incoming text)

    Always Talk: $35 per month
Unlimited WIND to WIND calling (Canada wide)
    Unlimited province-wide calling
    Unlimited incoming text
    50 outgoing text messages
If these rumor plans are true, I'm not sure how likely I'll be switching. Virgin mobile is offering $35 plan that include
    http://www.virginmobile.ca/vmc/en/activation/index.html

    450 daytime
    E/W 7pm
    Unlimited text & pic
    CID & VM

With a 2 year contract and you get credit for your phone + 100 credit in account. For my usage, texting is most important thing and they don't even have that till the $45 price level

Yes but with the incumbents you get a fully developed nationwide network, not a network that exists in cities. If the network is small and lower quality I expect to pay less.

Question: Would you be willing to pay more and more per month as WIND expands to BC, SK, MN, NS, NFLD, and PEI, then?

Sure, as much as it bugs me their voice plans are still great, I just dont need unlimited. If they have a text addon I'd just get the $15 chat with the text addon and pay overages for extra 50-100 minutes I may need. That would keep me somewhere between 20 and 30. My real main issue is the data, if I have 30 for voice and 35 for data thats $15 more then I'm paying on robellus. And while unlimited is nice i dont need it, I would just use it because I had paid for it.

HA what's with the 50 outgoing text messages!

So do these plans come with caller id or no?

I'm fairly sure rim made a profile for telus that social/IM, and all they have to do is push certain service books to your phone so you can use these features.
