The (apparent) lack of an unlimited txt option for the 15$ plan is a deal breaker for me. It's exactly the same as with Fido - a great 15$ plan, but can't add a txt package.
Having to switch up to 35$ just to get txts? That's bad price structure right there.
That may change if they introduce a txt bundle but otherwise... meh.
Note that the $15 plan has no UE&W option. It's basically there for people who use it occasionally after school.
Also, the unlimited IM,F,MS option is for Blackberries.
I'm well aware that it's only for Blackberries.
What I'm saying is for $25 you get unlimited text and facebook.
And if your contacts switch to Wind too, then unlimited Wind-to-Wind covers it.
You guys do realize that comparing retention plans to WIND's "surface" plans is unfair, right? I have a normal My5 with $15 "value" pack and it costs me almost $55 a month, without any overage. Switching to a BB with data plan would only cost me $15-20 extra that what I pay now, which means my LD + unlimited data is super cheap!!
And since WIND has their own retentions team, I'm sure they have some sort of leeway to entice Rogellus subscribers with retention plans to come over.
True ... this may be enticing to BRAND NEW customers, but prying those people on the retention plans from other providers may be a hard sell. Retention plans are super cheap, and "well rounded" IMO.
If WIND has their own retentions team, I'd love to hear from them to see what they can offer in terms of retention plans.
Like I said before, the ONE big thing that WIND is missing is cheaper data plans for the non-heavy users. Give me a data plan for about $10 to $15, and a voice plan that includes CID & VM, and I'm in.
Everyone just calm down and wait for official word to show up on the website with all the details and fine print so yo u can know what the complete deal is. I'm not saying that these prices are false, I'm just saying wait and see what WIND says.
I'm pretty pleased with these plans. It's a little bit of a downer that Voicemail isn't included, but these plans are all still really good at $5 more.
If you are using less than 300 minutes per month but more than 100, it would still be cheaper to go on the Chat plan and just pay the overage. $20= 200 minutes at 10 cents/min.
I agree they need a more middle of the road plan. 15$ isnt enough and $35 is to much for me. If I switched from Telus by bill would jump from $68 to $75.
I get 250 anytime minutes, 75 long distance mins, unlimited internet, 250 texts, VM10, Caller Id, Unlimited Incoming, evenings and weekends free at 6pm.

People really really hate to 'go over' their allocated minutes, it's a psychological barrier. Also people like to have the same amount on their bill from month to month... I doubt you'll be able to convince many customers to opt for a lower plan and pay overage even if it's cheaper than the more expensive plan.
