How is it relevant to compare to Sasktel? It's like going to Rogers and saying "well AT&T gives me this for half the price!"
Well for people that live in Saskatchewan it is relevant. Wind will eventually expand here and if Sasktel is already offering similar plans there is nothing for Saskatchewan residents to get excited about.
Wind offers better voice, but the blackberry plans are nothing special with wind.
I would expect prices for handsets not to be too bad. What you can do is look at Telus and Koodo that charged $200 and $175 ($150 now with discount) for the Keybo on postpaid, and $80 for it on prepaid. Obviously since it's prepaid they have to turn a profit, and with the $20 activation credit, you're really looking at no more than $50 for cost. That means if Wind is selling devices at slightly below cost, you'll be seeing plenty of devices in the sub $100 range on no contract. Tons of people will jump on that. What the carriers do is massively jack up the prices so they can offer a significant discount on a 3 year contract. You're probably looking at $400 or so for a BB on no contract, or somewhat less.
Also, question. PSB or PMB for the $15 plan?
Please don't PM me asking questions that could very easily be asked publicly.
Band I/1 = IMT, 2100 (rarely wrongly referred to as 1900/2100)
Band II/2 = PCS, 1900 (never wrongly referred to as 1800/1900)
Band III/3 = DCS, 1800 (never wrongly referred to as 1700/1800)
Band IV/4 = AWS, 1700 (often wrongly referred to as 1700/2100)
Band V/5 = CLR, 850
Band VIII/8 = GSM, 900

Right, but in that case who's to say that by the time WIND launches in SK, plans won't be updated/improved? Surely, Rogellus is already looking at changing their own, and WIND has taken all of that into account.
Why the hell isn't there unlimted text and a cheaper plan than $35 but more than $15? I have the $25 plan from Fido and I get unlimited text. I also agree with profets. Prices like that for Data plans would be spectacular. Hop on that right away.
Oh and I am finally grateful that Wind has the green light to launch!
I'm also between the Chat and Always Talk plans. Some have said that Wind will be the premium service and they will also have a basic service. Hopefully, more info on this basic service will come out soon. I really don't want to pay more than $30 a month, but I may be willing to pay $40 if there's a basic service package that offers internet. I'll probably go for the Chat plan as of this moment.
I think 50 text for the $35 dollar plan seems kinda *meh...*
I think 150-250 is more like it...
The casual like 5-10 sms/day for twitter and replying to friends...
50 a month is like sending 1.5 texts a day...
Then add $5 for unlimited web browsing for dumbphones... and I'll be a happy camper

Lol, if the speed is at least 5mbps then I'm dumping RogersExpress.
I was planning to switch to DSL cause 60gb isnt enough for my household.
But then there is the bell throttle issue...
I hope there is an option for some decent data rates for light users, because as good as $35 for unlimited data is, it's too much for someone who just wants to browse a few webpages.
