Honestly, I don't know what I am doing. I have tried the default server, T-Mobile To Go, and what CaptSmokey6 listed in post #116 in the custom servers.Originally Posted by viqas
CaptSmokey6 i really like your portal which is helpful on my Treo Pro thanks for making it easy for us to surf the web on prepaid service Keep up the Great work
this is a little off topic and i didnt want to make a new thread that could be solved in one post My question is does this Proxy trick still work for T-Mobile

All that proxy does is direct you to T-mobile's wap server. You'll only get the normal t-zones with it.Originally Posted by trickbiker121
o thank you so much and there isnt a way to make my phone automatically use a proxy without me having to go to http://tmobileinternet.blogdns.com/Originally Posted by slohasley
Unfortunately, tmobile blocks direct connections to proxy, so your stuck with web proxy.Originally Posted by trickbiker121
To Everyone:
Google Maps modded for tmoble prepaid has been released! All credits go to slohasley. Thanks slohasley! Check it out on the new downloads page, where everything has been categorized, so it's not messy anymore. Someone who uses the internet name of RSmiley has created another tmobile bypass proxy that is compatible with most phones and he has submitted it's URL to me for release. Check it out on the Websites section under "Proxy". Thanks RSmiley!
Thanks for adding google maps!
Just tried it it works great. Only thing is that it's the version for basic phones.
So it doesn't have your 'current location'.
I'm really happy for now.
If there's any chance you guys can mod an advanced version that has current location, and turn by turn navigation that would be a dream come true.
BTW, I have a Windows mobile phone, would you guys know how to modify the wm version of the gmaps?
Thanks again!
thanks for your reply and the release of google mapsOriginally Posted by CaptSmokey6

i couldnt find the google maps app in the downloads site...
anyhow i just wanted to affirm that the opera 5 advanced mod that was posted earlier works well on my htc dash and that google maps full works with current location using gprs
Try refreshing your browser when you go to Capt Smokey's site so it doesn't reload the page in your browser's cache.Originally Posted by fubag
The google maps jar Capt Smokey posted is the advanced (MIDP2) app. There's also a touch screen version that Capt Smokey may post.
I have a Razr2 V9 and installed the Google Maps app. When is loading it says "Use data network?" I select "Yes, Ask Once" and then it says "This application requires a data connection. Any ideas on what my problem is? I also get the same thing when trying to load the Opera browser. I have no problem browsing with the browser that came with the phone.
