Getting New Phone. Should I Get the Samsung Galaxy or Palm Pre?

Looking to getting new phone, looking for opinions on either the Palm Pre or the Samsung Galaxy, which one would be better, light txt, some browsing mostly voice calls, sync with outlook for appointments and contacts bonus.

    Thanks
    Current Plan:

Galaxy Nexus (Pure Google, Jelly Bean)
    6 GB data with tethering
    300 Daytime minutes
    Free call display
    Free message center
    Free Bell to Bell mobility
    Free evenings and weekends (6pm-8am)
    Free 1st minute incoming calls
    Free unlimited txt
Free call waiting, conference calling, call forward
Long distance 8 cents Cda, 20 cents USA

    Total with tax: $57 bucks
    Not bad I think.

Both phones do that, which one is better for you would probably come down to personal preference. so I'd suggest you go try the phones and pick the one that you like best.

Galaxy will be better for browsing, and you can get cool apps from the Android Market.

The Pre's build quality is crap and doesn't perform very well.

MStar if you were to choose between Blackberry or the Galaxy which would you go for? Or the Hero?

    Galaxy over BlackBerry.

HTC Hero is better than both, though.

Hero has 2x the RAM of the Galaxy, it'll multitask a lot better. Also be nicer for the inevitable upgrade to Android 2.0.

I'd get a Pre over the Galaxy due to the hardware keyboard, which is personal preference. I'd also take WebOS over Android too.

The Pre is nice, but it's still on the old CDMA network... if you're going to get a new smartphone, might as well get one on the new 3G network. Palm is supposed to come out with their HSPA WebOS smartphones in January (iirc, according to an article I read).

I would suggest Samsung Galaxy, you'll get better reception (most likely) with the HSPA+ network.

Plus you can start using Google sync for outlook and your new phone.. You will never go back to regular USB sync.

I meant perform as it's hardware reliability. Device isn't physically built very well.

Will be getting the Galaxy, corporate plan company uses Bell, thanks all to the suggestions

    off topic a bit but

Company plan is sweet I think, 400 Any time minutes, free call display, free voice mail, unlimited evening and weekends, unlimited txt, 8 cent long distance 10 cents to USA, free bell to bell all for $30 bucks +tax and best of all company pays for it. so yes I am sticking to Bell with this. Hope the Galaxy works out well, NExt to Nokia Samsumg is my preferred brand, again thanks all for the replies

Let us know (or me) what you think of the Galaxy, it's the only phone I'm interested in if I stick with Bell...I'm still so undecided. I haven't found any Canadian-reviews based on it yet, little info in detail tbh. Thanks.
