nope. you can go to metroPCS (if in your area) and have them flash it to their network. but no verizon mvno would let a verizon phone with a bad esn work on their networ.k

Pageplus runs on Verizon, so they will not allow it to run on the same network.

    flash to cricket or metro.
sprint doesnt allow any vzw esn's on their network (Clean, OR dirty), so forget about them.

What would make you question whether they would or not? Bad ESNs are the result of a phone reported as being lost, stolen or perhaps some other screw up by a former owner. Do you have one with a bad ESN? If so how do you know that it is?

Maybe because the esn got messed up or it was blacklisted for non-payments.

Doesn't the blacklist lift after 6 months even if the original owner still owes money?

from previous experience, stolen phones (no, i didnt steal it) are taken off the list after 6 months. i believe it is the same time with non-payment lines, too. seeing that i was able to activate a couple on inpulse after 6 months.

best not to do it. especially since that 6-month rule can obviously not apply to the droid, since it is less than 2 months old.

well, you ask the seller for the esn before you buy it, and call in to the original carrier and ask them whether or not the phone can be activated.

Note that this has been a crapshoot for me recently. Last time I called to check an ESN (an LG Dare), verizon CS told me it was a valid ESN that could be activated, then when I bought it and tried to ESN swap to it, P+ CS told me it was on the negative list.

I'm debating waiting it out to see if I can activate after six months, or just putting it on ebay for a cricket/metroPCS flash.

I put a Samsung Omnia on PP and it had a bad esn. The owner told me after I ported the number over to it.
