Froyo is code name Frozen Yogurt which from what I was told will be Android 3.0 supposedly when released. Current file I had saw was FRE70 if I'm not mistaken, but I do know there has been an update or 2 since then even.
Also fyi quick, next version after Froyo is Ginger Bread.
THanks couldn't remember what version 2.1 was or what Froyo number was supposed to be.

I feel like I really really want and need a keyboard because I have never been without one (except on my touch, which I rarely use for text input). But even when I do use the virtual keyboard it works ok with some annoyances in the auto correct. But I think I would most use the keyboard for games and emulators and just feel that it would be easier to type out messages than the virtual.
I'm not a huge fan of always having to touch the screen, always makes it too dirty and greasy and I hate that.
But I'm hoping we find some more about the Droid2 before the shadow releases so I can really decide.
Anyone have any clues if we will see international versions of these phones available? 3g/gsm unlocked etc for those of us that don't live in the states but still want some of this motorola action?
I was hoping the shadow was going to be the next google phone but looking unlikely right considering the next google phone is supposed to have a keyboard. I like the direct sales to customer of the google phone, great for us not in the states...

Off topic, don't get an iPad. If you want that functionality get an iTouch. For the larget screen get a real PC unless you are just trying to look "Apple Cool".

NO! My hopes for an Lte Droid 2 have just been crushed.
well if the droid 2 is going to be taking pictures of scared children, does that mean there is still a chance for the shadow to be taking pictures of swimming pools?

There is a chance for a hardware change shortly that I hope happens (will save some power).
If the Droid 2 doesn't have LTE, I've officially lost interest in it. I'd probably rather have the Shadow unless more specs leak that change my mind otherwise. I'm very curious what this Motorola LTE phone is that may get released before year's end. That means we have a minimum third high-end Motorola Android smartphone coming this year? Hmmm...

Actually, now it looks that there won't be an LTE device this year. There will most likely be the Motorola Tablet early next year with LTE
