I went through the steps with my Nuron but had already updated to the newest T-Mobile firmware so it didn't work for me. But the programs all played nicely together and it would have worked if I had the out of box firmware when I tried it.
The key is to remember to load only firmware for your phone's type (i.e. RM-588, RM-593, RM-629) If you load, for example, RM-588 firmware onto a Type RM-593 device you will have something too light to be a paper weight, too small for a door stop and totally unusable as phone.
