All new CDMA phones have GPS built in. That's how they do E911.
Maybe your question is really how many ST phones allow a user application to access the GPS location of the phone?

Thank You

AT&T and T-Mobile SF Bay Area+ Cell Sites - with Cell ID labels

Over 1,100 AT&T sites in the 9 Bay Area counties + San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey counties
Now over 1,500 T-Mobile sites in these 12 counties

"How many?":
Zero. ST denys nearly all file downloads except for three or four types for pics and sound. No other apps are available directly from ST for use of GPS either. It's their way of limiting data use and so far I guess it's working great cause no one has been able to crack this cookie. Kinda sucks but what can you honestly expect for only $30/$45 a month? I try to not let it bother me and just input my location manually into the sites that can be used for getting street directions. Takes a lot longer but still works for me in a pinch.
Well put DP. Thank You. :-) although I was hoping for better news..... LOL
