where is everyone getting 2.1 launcher ?

seems like everyone is loving it. where do i get it ? also, do i have to root my phone ?

I've climbed a cellphone tower
You can either get it from rooting and installing the hacked 2.1 ROMs around, or root and install one of the hacked 2.01 ROMs with 2.1 apps added, or you can install just the 2.1 launcher (though the version available had some problems).

Redflea, did u install the sholes rc1 ROM? I'm trying to figure out the 2.1 music player... how do u launch it? I selected it on install.

i found it.....and i love it. however, my phone is acting very slow. i used the sholes install version. do you think if i rooted and installed it that way it would go back to being snappy fast again ?

mjones, someone on alldroid said it's not in the RC1 anymore. I don't know how it's not in there when it was listed in the "what's included" list. Anyways, jinx10000 posted a installable file. I have not tried installing it it yet but so far RC1 is working for me, really well I might add.
