Sorry for digging up an old thread but since it's been one year, I just wanted to confirm if I can use my BB dataplan on an iPhone 4S?
Calling Bell, they said that I had to upgrade to an iPhone plan which costs more of course, but just wanted to check with the community here first.
Thanks

It is possible. You do need to download something (sorry I don't have the reference) but there is a thread elsewhere in the Bell forum with someone who did it.
But on the plus side, I knocked over the SunSphere.
Muh Plan:
300 min
U/L E&W at 6PM
U/L Texting
CDN LD @ $0.10 per min
USA LD @ $0.20 per min
6 GB Data
U/L Bell to Bell Local
$50/month with no SAF/911
Thanks for the link!
But after reading it, my next concern is how the data usage will be billed. Would rather not have to dispute the charges after the fact...

As long as the settings are correct in the phone, it shouldn't be an issue. I think people getting charged have the wrong settings (something to do with using data stick settings and not pda settings).
I joined the website just to respond to this thread, even though it is quite old I just wanted to add my story. I had a Blackberry 9780 on the Blackberry 50 plan... which included 500 mb data. Before I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2 I went to my local Bell Mobility store and asked if it would work with an android phone. The employee stated that because it is data which is included on my plan, not just the "social" apps or email, it would work. He also said there would not be any extra charges.
So I purchased my phone online without a contract but it is locked to Bell. Put my SIM card in and everything worked perfectly. I've had the SGII for two weeks now and everything works great. I haven't got my bill yet but my billing period ended yesterday so it should come soon. I'll keep my post updated if I did incur any extra charges.
I also have the 50$ student plan which says unlimited browsing, email, messaging and social networking with the nation wide fab 10. I used a blackberry 9630 then a 9700 and then a 9800. I have just gotten my hands on an iphone 4 and wanted to know how to change the apn settings so that my plan will work on my iphone. I installed the app from unlockit.co.nz/ but i'm not sure which apn settings I used from the 3 that are there for bell. Can some one please let me know what I should select. Thank you in advance

There's no doubt, that you can access data services with a BB plan on a non BB phone. The problem is that you can't be sure whether you'll get billed for PPU charges or not. Some people have reported that they have and others say they haven't and Bell hasn't really been giving out concrete answers either.
So did anyone figure this out yet? I got a 6GB data plan for blackberry but getting an LTE SII tomorrow so I wanted to test out LTE, but not sure if I should try it out on bell. Next thing you know I get heavily charged. I have done this on rogers before and nothing happened. Can anyone advice? Thanks in advance.

Use the pda.bell.ca settings and you'll be fine. If you use any turbo stick settings on a smart phone, those people have been getting charged.
I've just gotten my first bill after making the switch from my blackberry 9800 to iphone 4 while using my blackberry unlimited data plan and i do not have any additional data charges. All the data I use on my iphone shows up as "brwser data" on my bill. There were no additional data charges.
