It is now official available for download.
TP2 user can download from HTC web site,
http://dl.htc.com/ruudownload/t-mobi...d.aspx?pid=tp2
I tested and flashed to my phone, it looks like exactly same as "leaked" version few week ago.
It based on WM 6.5, not is the latest WM 6.5.3.
Also, Same as T-mobile WM 6.1 version, FM radio got stripped off. (but you can download and install the FM radio cab file from other place). Don't know why T-mobile hates people to use FM radio on the phone, it stripped off FM radio from Sony Ericsson T506 as well.
"H" (HSDPA) icon is still blocked as general "3G" icon (some people said it can show "H", but it only shows "3G" for me in DFW area)

thanks for the information, i don't know what the reason my phone stay on "3G", only when it establishes connection that moment displays "H", then gone.Originally Posted by TheRocketmac
I flash with my cooked rom (6.5/6.5.3), it shows up "H" , when data in transition.
Anyway, It is not a big deal!
what does 6.5 do that 6.1 doesn't do? Will it improve the performance of my Touch Pro 2?
"go then there are other worlds than these..."
I just upgraded to 6.5 and hope it will solve the sporadic freezes that i had beenOriginally Posted by geministorm60
experiencing with the stock 6.1 install. Will let u know.
On a side note, how do i make the "owner info" appear on the today screen
in 6.5 along with the htc sense in the today settings ?
I input the owner using method 3 posted here
but it does not show up in the main today screen when i have "htc sense" checked as well![]()
You have to disable SenseUI from Today items, but doing so will also disable BT AVRCP.Originally Posted by lanb
I think i will live without the owner showing up on the today screen then.
BTW, one other odd thing i noticed was that i cannot turn off wifi.
The comm. manager shows "turn on wifi automatically".
Moving the slider to the off position does nothing.
I am guessing, this is because of some setting i did inadvertently.
Does anyone know where the setting is ?

You didn't do anything to the WiFi, all the 6.5 roms I've seen uses an automatic WiFi selection for some reason. I think it is supposed to be on demand but doesn't always work.
Really?Originally Posted by lanb

I downloaded it... one thing I do not like is that my apps that are on my storage card cannot be put on the start menu.... I have yet to figure out how to make a shortcut so I won't have to go through the file explorer, and that's a pain....
Wonder if this has anything to do with reports of a lot more resource usage with the stock 6.5 over the stock 6.1. People have reported 6.1 RAM usage at just under 50%. While this jumps to mid 50's after installing stock 6.5, a number of reports of application usage running this up into the 90's and the only way to get back to the mid 50's is a soft reset. And that's temporary because the RAM usage will climb back into the 90's.Originally Posted by lanb
I am going to hold off from updating until this becomes clearer.
^ before messing up your phone, you might wanna hop into any Tmobile store to try out WM6.5 for yourself. as of yesterday, the wmdeals site reports all tmobile TP2 and Dash3G's will ship w/ 6.5, hence the OOS last week. now, i wonder if the new batch just adds an OS update... but i'm hoping htc quietly slipped in the 3.5mm hardware as well![]()
