    It's Upgrade Time! (WAP-enabled, non-smartphone)

I'm looking to upgrade from my Samsung SGH-T819. I actually love the phone, but it's a couple years old and I know there's better stuff out there. Also, the slider is starting to feel a little loose when I open it, and recently it's started just shutting down on its own. So it is time.

At the T-Mobile store tonight, the Samsung Comeback was recommended. I really like the features, but it is a bit chunky looking, and also if something better is coming out soon, I can definitely wait a while. Also, although I have enjoyed my Samsung for the past two years, I really love Nokias, so if an awesome Nokia is coming out I could definitely hold out for it.

What I'd like (probably most phones have these features, but figured I'd list them anyway):
    - WAP internet
    - camera
    - SD card slot
    - decent speakerphone
    - MP3 ringtones
    - alarm
    - calendar
    - predictive text
    - ability to go at least a few days of normal use without recharging
    - sturdy (the fewer moving parts, the better)

Things I don't really use, so it doesn't matter if the phone doesn't do them well:
    - text messaging
    - music player

    Thanks for your advice!

pretty much most of tmobile's phones have those features except none of them have an SD slot...many have microSD though. There's supposed to be a new Nokia touchscreen phone coming out. I'd wait for that one because the samsung touchscreen phones don't seem that great.

Yeah, I meant microSD, sorry :o) Also forgot to mention, I like phones with buttons (not touchscreens).

I actually ended up getting the Samsung Gravity 2 a couple days ago. I still have about a week and a half to decide whether or not I can live with it for the next two years. So far I'm okay with it. It has its little quirks, apparently, but any new phone will be different from what I was using before, so I just have to get used to it.

I could have waited if something else amazing were coming out soon, but it seems like the pipeline is just full of smartphones...

I didn't see QWERTY as a requirement so I would suggest going for the Sony Ericsson Equinox, Samsung apparently doesn't have the best reception in fringe areas

i was also going to suggest the Sony Equinox too...I have it and I like it. You can get it for free at Walmart too with a 2 year upgrade. It only has the m2 card slot though...no microSD.

Ahh, should have also mentioned, I don't like flip phones :o) The Equinox is very pretty, though, if I were into that sort of thing.
