Question BitPim Replacement for Windows 7?

    Hello everyone.

I currently am using Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional, and I tried to download the latest BitPim 1.0.6 and even the 1.0.7 software and it would not work properly.

Is there a better piece of software that I can use for my LGvx8350 on Windows 7 so that I may transfer my files and upload my ringtones, etc?

Thank you for your time, and have a nice day.

Have you tried running it in "compatability mode?"

The latest version says it's compatible with Windows 7. However, it tells me when I launch that it's missing a .dll, so that it cannot launch.

    Error log:

    Using bitpim

You are not missing the file. It is there! you need to associate it with the program. Best practices say do not drag and drop! Use the CMD method to load it into the Win32 drivers folder and run it! Run baby RUN!

That's a Visual C++ redistro file. You can get the DLL online at www.driverguide.com, and put it in your BitPim install folder (guy above is right about best practices, but it doesn't really matter) or just reinstall the redistro. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
