PP $40 uTnT + $10 (.35 cents a day) for unlimited web on Boost CDMA.
I am considering this option myself. If I could someone to let me borrow and activate a official Boost CDMA device I could then ESN swap in my own Palm Centro.

Hey pit, there is a thread in the Boost CDMA forum where people are lending ESNs to get service started. No need for a Boost CDMA phone to start now.
I've said it before, but I get my (unlimited) data from Boost too (IDEN though).
Anyone know anything about the talk away BIS service for 15 dollars a month? Anyone have it?
It just enables the PIN so you can use PIN-based applications like BB Messenger, Push E-Mail and App World. It doesn't come with unlimited data. So if you have PP, you'll have BIS but it'll come out of your 20mb/50mb data plan. I'm debating if I want to activate a BB just to try it out. And the $15 charge is one-time only.Originally Posted by joeblackburn

Android fanboy til I die!!! G1 FTW!!! F$^k Apple!!
FYI - They said they would just need the PIN and ESN of the BB to activate - I sent the info for a 8830 that I have on PP to activate, but after more than 24 hours I haven't heard a word back from them. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow.

Please let us know if they fullfill this order and it works. I am dying to find out if it works. I have 2 months left on US Cellular and want a blackberry bad.Originally Posted by roba
Whoa...you can get voice and text with one provider and data from a seperate provider on the same phone?Originally Posted by pitflyer
Can you explain in noob terms, how to do that and what the cons would be on doing so.
You can, but that's not what he is talking about. You're thinking about dual NAM, which puts 2 numbers on the same phone, liuke I have Verizon Prepaid and Page Plus on one phone...Originally Posted by Juan D. Full

You have to carry around two different phones, and sometimes it's hard to get a regular sprint phone on boost mobile.
Well, I dunno. I put a Verizon phone on their activation site last night just to test them. A day later, nothing. No email activation confirmation, no order acknowledgement, no phone call. Nothing. Idk about Talkaway.
That's correct. The $50 solution involves two phones; the PagePlus phone on the VZW network for Talk and Text, and the Boost CDMA phone on the Sprint network for data (of course, you also get some data on PP, but the whole point is if that's not enough).
I saw the thread on Boost CDMA forum about borrowing ESNs and then swapping out phones. I might give that a shot with the Centro I have from Sprint, but I imagine since I just ported it out Sprint's holding the ESN. I guess we shall see.

I carry 2 phones. Boost IDEN for data, and PPC for voice and text. Its possible, and not as annoying as you might think, but it isn't 1 device either.
I also emailed TalkAway about the BIS card. The response I got said BES is $15/month, and BIS is $15 only once. I asked how long I could expect BIS access since it is only a one time payment, and am waiting for a response. I really want to get my Boost IDEN BB onto BIS. It would be so cheap, yet so great! I'm hoping for a response soon.
Got news for you. Most Spring resellers CAN'T get Sprint postpaid contract phones on their system. Kajeet, Total Call, Xtreme Mobile, Ready Mobile, STI are all Sprint mvnos that will not allow any phones but their own. One reason they are death to dealers.
Also, Liberty Wireless had a bring your device option for two weeks or less before Sprint killed it. http://www.prepaidreviews.com/blog/l...program-35971/
Sprint does not want its resellers taking away their best phones and putting it on a cheaper version of their plan. I checked with Lucky Wireless who sells both Sprint and Verizon plans. On the Sprint side, they do not offer retail byod.
I very much doubt Talkaway can make it happen. I wouldn't be surprised if Eclipse commited suicide by trying a Liberty Wireless byod on Sprint postpaid phones and got their reseller's agreement revoked if they even had anything to begin with.
Putting a Sprint phone on prepaid Sprint network is a royal PAIN. Boost cdma is hit or miss on the CSR/social engineering. AND you have to have an original Boost cdma phone anyway. Only Liberty and Platinum Tel allow any byod at all and it is limited to other Sprint mvnos anyway.
Talkaway may have something. But I tried to activate a Verizon phone on their Verizon plan system which can be done and it's been two days, an email, phone call. No response.
With this 150MB add-on, is it just for the month, or does it stretch until it runs out?
