Access voice mail & menu from any phone - Straight Talk

    I'm new to Straight Talk

I'm accustomed to pressing * PASSWORD (during the voice greeting) when calling my cell phone from another phone, to retrive voice mail, record greeting, etc.

However using Straight Talk this doesn't work.

How are voicemails and menu accessed from another phone.
Very important working in an RF tight hospital buildings.

I believe you need to use # then your password.

You may need to call the voicemail number. If you don't know it, all you need to do is when your phone notifies you that you have voicemail, Don't dial your cell phone number, let your phone dial the access number. note the number that it dials when you go to get your email. Use this number in the future from any other phone. It will ask you for you cell number first then your password.

I was used to pressing # then my code on my old plan. Apparently this works on some ST phones but not others and some phones can't access at all. On my iphone it is now * (star) then my code then #.

It depends upon the underlying carrier. Straight Talk has no voicemail service of its own.
