    Unlock Telus Phone for Fido, Can use 3g?

    Just wondering if I bought and unlocked a telus HTC Hero, if it would be able to use 3G on fido

    Is there any free way to unlock this? I find it strange how you have to buy an unlock code... with my Razr2 I just used bitpim or something and modified the hex :P

    I wouldn't be asking if I had already googled it! My searching turned up nothing. Most people just end up paying for it.

    By the time you google many "free" unlock codes, you will probally get many viruses on your computer. Besides that fact, there are codes for around $10.00 online. I buy all of mine on eBay and they save you a lot of money.

    Just my two cents, dont go to a local unlocking shop, they charge too much for this service.
