Hi everyone. I'm really new to the whole mobile phone hacking thing, but I've tinkered around with just about everything else I own. So far, I've been able to get a look at the filesystem on my motorola rival A455 by using P2k Commander. From just manually exploring, I've found where the pictures, videos, and music are stored. However, my goal is to be able to rip the text messages stored on my phone and save them on my computer. I'm not terribly picky about how they come out formatted, but I would like to be able to read them. So far, I've looked at EMS_message_0.bin and EMS_message_1.bin as possible candidates, but upon making cue files and mounting them to a virtual drive, I got a corrupted data message from Windows and nothing showed up.
In short, does anyone know where text messages are stored on the rival's filesystem? And how can I export these files into a readable format? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I am desperately trying to do the same! I've tried a lot of different programs with this phone (MPT, BitPim, Mobiledit, MotoDataRecovery...), and P2k Commander is about the only thing that works at all (as long as I have Motorola PST running in the background). I have two rivals, one with a faulty screen and one with a cracked screen, and I cannot seem to get to the text messages. Anyone making any progress?
