Full Housing For a Nokia 8260

Had anyone put one of these on a 8260? I would like to know because I am thinking about buying a new 8260 and putting a clear, blue or red full housing on it. Please reply if anyone has done this or know anyone that has because it would like to know if it affected your phone's performance or if anything bad happened to it when you were in the process of changing it.

It does not affect the phone's performance (assuming the housing fits nicely, and it was installed correctly).

I bought a red transparent full housing for my 8260 and was not satified with the quality of it. You really need to know what you're doing to put on this housing because you have to transfer the antenna contacts to the middle piece and it's pretty tricky. I tried to do it myself and ended up breaking one of the contacts.

Also, the vibrating piece (piece next to the charger socket) doesn't fit perfectly into the middle section so it's very loose and can easily fall out. Oh yeah, the antenna cover doesn't snap in all the way either.

I mean when you put on this housing and install some leds to match and a flashing battery ... it looks okay but I recommend that you save your $$$.

Btw... I got my housing from soughtafter on ebay but you can also check out their online store @ http://www.auctionworks.com/store/de...fo=soughtafter

the only thing i have heard about this is to make sure the paint or housing is not metalic as it will diminish the reception quality.

I had a full housing for the 8260 the vibrator didn't work and my antenna cover had so much stress on it, it broke. I found out how to fix the vibrator problem by tilting the vibrator a little when installing it again.
