IMEI to Hex conversion

Hi,
I'm probably in the wrong place but here goes;

I'm an As400 programmer and I need to convert an IMEI to a hex value in RPG language.

I have done this before with MEID's where I take the first 10 bytes and convert it to hex, then convert the last 8 put them together and viola, I have my hex number.

I'm having some difficulty obtaining the "formula" for converting IMEI's as when I search for IMEI Hex conversion, I get information pertaining to MEID's.

How do I split the IMEI so I can apply the same logic or is the logic different for IMEI's?

Any help will be appreciated.
