    super speeds

i've been hitting record speeds tethering my 3G iphone to my laptop via pdanet; 3.25 mbps on average, 300kb/s not uncommon on downloads .. i didnt think this was even physically possible with my unit!

have they updated anything to the networks in montreal, recently ?

I've been getting 3mbps on my iPhone 3G for well over a year in Toronto. When I went to Montreal, I couldn't even get enough bandwidth to load a webpage. I think it's probable that they've upgraded the backhaul in your area.

I got home from mexico recently and had disabled my internet to save money. So I tethered my 3GS for the first night. Downloaded a couple tv shows to watch at over 800kbps. I'm in a town of a couple hundred thousand, not exactly a bustling metropolis either, so didn't think the 7.2mbps upgrade had happened yet. But, aparently it has and the 3GS works well with it!

Mine is very inconsistent. Usually I get somewhere from 2-3 mbps using my iPhone 3G. Sometimes it goes below 2 or even below 1 mpbs.

I'm in montreal and surprisingly with the speedtest.net app, I am getting from the toronto server UP to 6094/252 kbps!!!

Whenever I use the montreal server, I get around 3-4.5 mbps in downlink
