I may have unintentionally contributed some misleading data points in South Delta heading towards Point Roberts. My phone reported 1-3 bars of Wind HOME signal significantly south of that last cell tower in Ladner, but when I tried to actually access data or make a call, nothing worked. When I popped in and out of Airplane mode, all it saw afterwards was Wind AWAY.
so they aren't expanding during this court ruling process?
Doubtful. They didn't stop building when the CRTC gave them the turn-down the first time. They will continue building despite any government rulings. That's just how they roll.
At what point do they show on TAFL? When they're built? active? within ___ days of being active?
Sometimes months after they're active, sometimes months before construction starts. It's a reasonable indicator of current and planned tower locations, but I wouldn't draw those types of conclusions based on one month of data.

Thanks for the clarification... but also thanks for updating your map. I look forward to it every month.
has been refreshed for March 2011, and now contains 14,471 records (February had 14,428), which represent all 193,628 cell tower antennas (February had 192,576) across Canada.
Compared to February, we see modest gains for Rogers, Telus and SaskTel.
