Anyone know how the reception is in Richmond Hill (bayview and major mac area)? I looked at the map and it says I have a tower nearby but I just wanted to know what you guys thought of the reception there.
i work in that area and i never have had any issues, signal is strong, data speeds seem to be a bit slow sometimes but blazing fast other times
Hey guys,
Does this look kind of look like a Wind site?
fullsize: http://i.imgur.com/bmcwE.jpg
It's on top of a two story building, with three of those antennas on the corners.
It's at Yonge Street and Brookside ave, in Richmond Hill, ON.
I haven't noticed it before, and it's not on Google streetview so I think it's pretty recent.
I've checked some of your cell maps, it's not listed for any of the carriers.
I've complained about indoor coverage several times, maybe this will bring good news.
Hey that's my gym![]()
I wonder if i can get reception as Wynn fitness is in the basement of that building.

I wonder if they ever plan on turning on the 8800 Dufferin tower, because the reception in the area around there which happens to be where I live is just atrocious.
It does look like a WIND tower. Nice spot.
Nevermind Bell.. LTE is fine.
In the AWS/cellular context, TAFL is Industry Canada's list of all base stations in operation, as submitted by the spectrum licensee the month prior.
The underlying database is Industry Canada's Assignment and Licensing System (ALS)
A subset of the ALS is published monthly as the Technical and Administrative Frequency Lists (TAFL)
Real-time access to the AWS/cellular data of ALS is provided by Spectrum Direct's (SD) Geographical Area Search
Here's a post that explains why some maps show sites like 8800 Dufferin - http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...8#post14747228
That WIND "tower" on Dufferin street is a microwave backhaul site. It does not provide reception/coverage for our phones. 22 Southport Road is another one of those. It doesn't not provide signal to Wind customers. In fact, that location is almost a dead spot.
