    AQUOS Link

    Hey,

If anyone here has a Sharp AQUOS TV with AQUOS Link could you try to connect your Sharp keitai to the TV using the Aquos Link software preinstalled on most sharp keitais?

I think it uses your phone as a remote or something like that.

    Thanks!

So it should work on the new SoftBank Sharps? Or is it going to be limited to Chinese Sharps?

What exactly does it do? My AQUOS's remote has this flip down panel which reveals a power button, fast forward and fast backward buttons labled AQUOS LINK.

Seems strange to have that on a TV without a built in (or external Sharp) Blu-ray or DVD player. Is that just for the built in VCR/DVD/BD player on some models? In which case it would be useless for me? Or can you switch channels, volume and input on the phone?

I tried the Familink remote app on my 941SH. Can't figure out how to get it working. The phone vibrates when I line it up with the TV's IR receiver but nothing works (volume and channel up/down).

Anyone can tell me how to make it connect and work?

Familink is for stuff connected to your TV, so you don't have to use a remote to control them. Guessing that if you had a Familink device, you'd be able to use your phone to control it through TV.

Can you try with your SH-06A or your 920SH (if you still have that)?
