(where the x's are, you would put your phone number without the dashes.)

That is for MMS (message with sound or pics attachment),
but they asked for addy for text message.
A lot of phone models do not have MMS option.

This worked for me also... I have a Straighttalk Samsung Proclaim (which uses the verizon network)

I wonder if the Vtext dot com only works with straight talk phones that use the verizon network

For ST on AT&T, the syntax is:

1234567890@txt.att.net

where 1234567890 is the 10 digit phone number.

After about a year of trying to use vtext.net and failing miserably, I'm really grateful to finally get some correct info on how to email to text!

You can find it by sending a text message from your phone to your personal email. I called straight talk and they had no idea what i was talking about. so when I sent a text message to my sself it showed in my email that the web address is my phone number at messaging dot sprintpcs dot com. I have to put it like thi because for some reason my post wont work if I have it in the correct web address format.
