Things run noticeably faster on my Pixi Plus, but the overall interface is still slower than other smart phones. Apps still launch slowly but once they're up and running it's pretty smooth.

How is the general interface speed in the new release?

1.4 has delivered a dramatic performance boost in my opinion along with tons of enhancements. I'm a huge fan of the way that Palm supports their hardware and I continue to believe that WebOS is currently the best mobile operating system.
I think WebOS is the best also.....and I don't even own a WebOS phone yet.Originally Posted by Sawawa

Just Checked Updates on my Bell Pre and am downloading 1.4 as we speak
After Monday (M) and Tuesday (T) even the week says WTF !!!
noticed a decent speed bump in menus and overall performance immediately., battery life still seems lame, still have odd bugs here and there.. like today I couldnt delete any of my photos, I would hit the trash can but the delete/cancel window never popped up. Restart fixed it. Also noticing some lag still, where the touch screen becomes unresponsive, and then has to catch up.
I did my update on a new phone with nothing installed before update. Love webos, better than I liked android, but the lack of apps might make me switch to the N1 when released on Verizon. I also wish there was a real on screen keyboard so I didnt always have to slide out the keypad.
My second phone, which is an iphone 3gs still seems like the king of the hill imo.. its really hard to beat.
