    LG Eve GW620R firmware update

Yesterday I stumbled upon an update for the LG Eve on the LG website. It updated the firmware from V10c to V10f. Nowhere could I find a changelog, so I have no idea what was updated.

I have noticed that the home and back keys are nowhere near as sensitive as before and the battery life seems to be better. I will know more after another day's use.

    Wirelessly posted (Treo 680: LG-GW620 Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 1.5) AppleWebKit/528.5+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.2 Mobile Safari/525.20.1 Java/Jbed/7.0 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 MMS/LG-Android-MMS-V1.0/1.2)

It was on the LG Canada site. It seems to have also fixed the keyboard space problem regarding the suggested words.

Today I noticed that part of the update was a new and improved Facebook client. So far it seems like the battery is better, the touch-sensitive buttons less sensitive, and Facebook has been updated. I am sure there are more updates that I have yet to notice.

Is it still Android version 1.5?

Yes, it still is 1.5. They stated that update would come this spring...it's not yet spring.

how's the call quality? has it improved since v10c?

i had the Eve for about 2-3 days because of this problem. The call quality i found was really poor. Sounded very muffled with lots of static/distortion compared to my Magic

I've had no issue with that since day one, although i had 1 defective phone kept crashing home screen app. Rogers employee said they had a good majority returned and replaced. But since that replacement no issues for me.

    Sounds great

I will agree on touch sensitive buttons, but not a graet improvement, just a added delay from touching.

As for battery, i seems sucks more juice now. Left fully charged battery, airplane mode for night and woke up at 3% left. Usually i wake up and at 60-65% in this state.

Facebook..... don;t use there apps .

I have never had a problem with the voice quality...it was clear since day 1. I hardly use voice so I have yet to test since the update.

Must be some app causing your battery drain. I find the battery lasts much longer since the update. I also find the touch sensitive buttons behave normally for me. No more accidental presses while doing other things. The new FB app is much better than the old one.

I STILL cannot find a changelog anywhere.

    Hi,

Same apps and preferences as before. I just deleted the MOXIAR apps ( maybe they killed faster -- doubtful )

Signal is 4-5 bars strong so not a 3G issue killing as well.

But i have noticed that charging takes about twice as long now for me.

Thinking i may need to perform another factory reset and test with pre-blog ware and see if difference.

P.S. as well no changelog anywhere but many reported spacebar fix.

Sorry I did not mention that...right away I noticed the spacebar fix. Typing is now comfortable. I still find my charging time is the same. One thing I noticed about Android in general is the constant data usage. I used a Nokia E71 before this and never went above 500MB. Since I started using the Eve, my data usage spiked to 900MB!
