    Question about CPR and SMS

I didn't really want to ask a question but I'm stumped now. Basically when you CPR the hypersm, I know you need to make an outgoing call and accept and incoming one but do you have to do the same for SMS?

Initially when I recieved my SH-06A, after I did the CPR, I could call/receive calls and send and recieve SMSs. However since I've done a 2nd CPR (due to a lost signal), I've not been able to send nor recieve any SMS.

I'v changed my SMS service centre to start with either +44 or 0044 to no avail. So I'm not quite literally stumped.

Any help is appreciated. (have thought about a new hypersim - no idea what my one is since it came with the phone).

Been trying another SMS service centre number (Orange UK has two) but still getting "check message failed" when checking for new SMS and "transmission failed" when trying to send

    *Update*

After doing a bit of searching through threads, it seems like I have same problem as the poster in this thread - http://verizonwireless.howardforums....1&page=1&pp=15

Appears that I have a hypersim which isn't particularly compatible. So looks like I may have to buy a new one. Looking into a BBsim or Ion Nuke sim (iNex seems to be exp and not worth the money).

After getting fed up of not being able to send sms, I decided to get myself a new hypersim and opted for Benny's BBsim which I recieved thanks to his reseller. However, I have run into even more troubles in that it doesn't seem to agree with any of my sim cards (my orange uk and malaysian hotlink) and even my dads virgin uk sim.

After cutting up my orange sim to make benny's one fit and subsequently not work, I decided to use back my old dunno what brand hypersim. Low and behold now..sms is working perfectly!

Just goes to show you that newer hypersims aren't always better!!

Gonna hold onto the BBsim though and see if it'll work with any future simcards I may get and any future phones i may get.

Yes newer doesn't always mean it's better.

However if it's a newer one I release it's always better b/c I wrote the code. I know the changes in the software.

    It's all good (^_^)

Well, if I do ghave to buy a new one in future I thin I'll g with yours. Leastof all, communication ay be a bit easier! Communicating with this Benny fellow isn't exactly and easy task!!

Also just wondering, are there known problems with hypersims and simcards looking like the one on the right (ie big sim chip)?

These are the kind of reasons I stay away from hypersims.

Benny's stuff usually works for the greater part of Asia. LOL. There's a lot of people using his stuff in Singapore over @ HWZ and it's all okay.

I've never used it but I just assume it's the fact that the sim card data isn't even in the program thus it will refuse to work with some sims.

Was supposed to work on Uk stuff too but alas not on my Orange sim nor my dad's Virgin one. Doesn't matter though.ive and learn lol!!

Also sounds like you were in the same boat, reason why I got my SH-06A was because it was too good to turn down! Otherwise I would have gone for a T923/T930.

I've gotten sims to work on Voda, Orange, and O2. But sometimes O2 stopped working but I'm not even certain on why.

SH-06A was indeed a good deal.....even tho I had the WX-T923 at the time LOLOLOLOL.

I guess it's just my luck then!!

Anyway, since the original hypersim now works well enough (minus the cpr'ing which takes place between 1 - 7 days :P), I'll not change unless I have to.

Even though I've finally got my Keitai, I think the bug has hit that I want more..so I'm always trawling through eBay UK for any more bargain ones! Missed a sh0902c a couple of weeks back, was a bit exp and was hoping they'd relist cheap but nothing so far lol :P
