I love WinMo and I've defended MSFT for years, but I can't defend WPS7. The whole concept sucks. Another locked-down, walled-garden ecosystem that does less than previous generations, even though hardware has evolved.

    No multitasking.
    No microSD card support.
    No custom UI.
    No file system access.
No CAB files and apps only from the marketplace.

    No thanks.

For me, it's BlackBerry and Windows Mobile 6.1 (6.5 at the very worst) from now on. WP7 does not exist as far as I care. I hate everything iPhone, including its imitations. Microsoft makes an original WP7 UI that looks like nothing out there, but then they had to crap all over it by copying Apple with all other draconian policies.

Steve Ballmer went to the copy room, Xeroxed the iphone and named it WP7S!

my favorite is WM also but only for its ability to customize,a by product of MS developers not having any new ideas, but now in their infinite copydom they see fit to imitate a trend that is about to end on those they copied. go figure. Id love to find an emoticon of the smily shooting their foot.

I love WinMo but Android is looking more appealing by the day. The HD2 may be my next, and likely my last, WinMo-based device for it's capacitive screen, Snapdragon CPU(blah @ MSM72xx) and the ability to dual-boot WinMo and Android. Everything I love about WinMo died in WP7S. Meanwhile, a stable 6.5.5 build will do for me.

You must be my twin because that's how I feel. If my Imagio dies, I'll switch to GSM, burn a hole in my pocket for an HD2, and go from there.

I agree with all the posts here, but especially #3.
