Fido
Unlimited minutes/ 6gb/ Unlimited text/ CID/ VM/ 1000 Can Ld plan
Odd... It sounds better when I tell people that I have 1200 minutes/ 2pm-7am/ Weekends/ Unlimited Incoming/ Unlimited Network Calling/ 1000 Long distance/ 10 000 text/ CID/ VM
Do you agree?
Pretty nice, for those who, unfortunately, aren't eligible to go on a monthly plan. This should be a great alternative for certain potential subscribers (teenagers by exemple) where their parents are tight on budgets. So great combinaison of phones such as Motorola W388 Renew+ @ 65,00$ and these prepaid price plans.
Fritz Z24...
I'm curious if this extra 15,00$ bonus will also be implement with the City Fido Prepaid Plan as well?

Fido's $29 plan sounds good with the 100 sent texts. But Virgin has add-ons, 100 extra mins/$10 or Unlimited Incoming/$10. If Fido had those options, I know a bunch of people who would be interested (these people don't like Virgin much).
Fido should offer those add-ons, even at $15.....
I poked around the website. Couldn't find an answer. What's the data options for Pre-paid? Are they the same as post-paid or is data restricted to pay-per-use?
Anything new coming for postpaid plans?
Only option available is the Daily Data Pass at 1,00$ per day. this option allow unlimited web browsing for 24 hours.

Ofcourse the $ 15 post-paid plan is billing by the second & the $ 19 pre-paid plan is billing by the minute...but for 4 bucks extra you get 300 E/W mins plus CID/VM ( $ 10 value ) ...not bad for very light or emergency call users who only need a phone to contact someone in the case of urgency/emergency.
I think they should start throwing in 300 E/W mins in the $ 15 monthly plans as well .
Are the evening mins for the $ 19 plan starting at 6.00 PM or 7.00 PM and is it it upto 7.00 AM or 8.00 AM the next day ??

So just purchasing a FIDO SIM & putting it in your existing FIDO handset or unlocked third party handset won't be eligible ?
I believe the SIM is now only $ 10 bucks...as opposed to buying a FIDO handset which should cost atleast $ 50 bucks or more in most cases .
Sweet.
I currently pay $10 a month pre-paid and it's continually a bit short. though not by much.
given that the $15 pos-paid does not have
call display
voicemail
this seems pretty interesting.
If its even true. we'll see next week i guess
I'm impressed, a little more value and change [towards] better for those using prepaid service.
The 19 and 29 dollar plans are up on the Fido web site, but if you choose the instant refill option (option 2), they appear to be 6 dollars more:
http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/F...o=prepaidPlans
wondering it this is a screwup? Otherwise, why call it the 19 dollar plan if it actually costs 25 dollars?
Question: how does fido, and specifically this $19 plan, compare to the competition?
and does anyone else have a $15 option that is any better?
depends on your usage.Originally Posted by gelu88
each carrier has it pros and cons, you need to take the time to sit down and compare the plans.
then decide what is the best option for you.
