RE: LG Fathom VS750 Emergency Download Mode exit
Depress the RESET button located near the micro usb port.
FYI: Run the update tool in XP SP2 compatibility mode, remove SD from slot before flash, make sure battery is fully charged... and use LG-Utils-0.4.2 to point the updater to local file on hard drive for best results. (Put LGMobileUpdate.exe, B2CAppSetup.exe in same folder you extracted LG-Utils-0.4.2 to.)
VS750 USB drivers (I think): LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_WHQL_Ver_4.9.4_All.exe
PS: VS750ZV5_06.SV5_06.P58006.R5.cab with the addition of SPB SHELL 3.5.5 or some other launcher /shell gives you more customization options.
dear prasad , i want the procedure , how you were able to force the downgrade to VS750ZV5. my lg updater is working both wit active sync and VZW.

So with 70mb free ram and nothing else running, we started uninstalling applications and when that didn't fix it, we ended up doing a factory reset-- and guess what? It STILL didn't fix it. Venturing that this flaw was isolated to VS750ZV7, I figured a downgrade to VS750ZV5 was in order.
Well, that was a few hours ordeal-- the LG Updater software kept looping the "Install USB Drivers" window, one on top the other both on her machine and on my machine. Realizing that it had worked fine on my machine months ago, I figured either the USB connection on the phone or the cable was shot... or, more likely, Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) just does not get along with the LG USB Modem Drivers that were installed when connecting to the phone. From the previous posts, I also tried each and every USB port on the laptops to no avail.
I was not in a position to downgrade the computer OS, and the cable had been working just fine for Syncs, so I did another search for the looping issue and found there was a guy (I can't cite the link-- seem to have lost it) who went to Settings / Connection Settings / USB Switch and set his phone from ActiveSync to the VZW setting. After the phone rebooted from saving the setting, the LG Updater application was able to use the LG USB Modem drivers without the looping and I was able to force the downgrade to VS750ZV5. Now, using the rocker switch to mute an incoming call works again.
