Did you get it to work, To0? Just curious to see if my directions made sense...Originally Posted by to0

we did something kind of similar quite a while back with no avail... with some new info we've learned (unrelated to this thread) im confident I know the fix, however.Originally Posted by brandonharrison
if yours is working... awesome... dont fix it if its not broke pops always told me
It may have to do with the rom version... It is working with the Stock 1.5 rom and Damagecontrol's 2.1 rom, but I was wrong earlier when I said it was working on the Fresh 2.1 rom. I looked like it was but people weren't getting my MMS.... I'll have to see what I can figure out there but on Damage's rom it is working great and consistently. I think a big part is that people try to edit the DB file in sqlite3. I Pulled it and made the changes manually on my PC then pushed it back and that Is how I got it to work.Originally Posted by insanecain

Does it really have to be XP or Vista? I have 7 32b and I do not see any activity in the Diag screen when connected to the pc.![]()
Awesome tut! Very non-linux user friendly.
Web & MMS is good enough for now but I have a feeling that app fixes are around the corner. G phones are piling up with all the carriers now including the first USA 4G phone, the EVO.Originally Posted by brandonharrison

Running DamageControl v1.0 ROM with Sense 2.1.
I've had web working since day one, but I just pushed the telephony.db to the phone. I am now able to send and receive MMS. 100% functionability on MMS!
Thanks for sharing Brandon!! You the best! tutorial perfect!!
UPDATE**********
When pushing the file to the phone you may get an error saying that "adb cannot run as root in production builds" You will need to root your phone if that is the case. I forgot to mention that... you can find may ways to root it on Google, but here is one that MAY work.
From the Android Tools Folder, with the phone connected in Debugging Mode (Settings>applications>Use Debugging Mode) type the following command:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
if it doesn't work may Google help you...
would me using the broadband workaround cause this not to work, because it aint working for me, but I am kinda retarded sorta. I followed the tut. exactly as stated except for the web portion.
hey brandon...i was wondering...after android how do you get...cd tools...its not working
i did get the wap to work...but not the mms yet...
